Programme Overview
The Human Capital Intern will be exposed to the full Human Capital (HC) value chain over a 24-month period.
The internship provides structured exposure to Human Capital administration, employee lifecycle processes, performance management, employee relations, and strategic HC projects.

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities
Human Capital Administration
Assist with:
- Recruitment administration
- Vacancy activations
- Interview scheduling
- Conducting reference checks
- Psychometric assessments and MIE checks
- Employee onboarding (take-on process)
- Employee documentation and transfer paperwork
- Employee induction processes
- Employee offboarding processes
- Ensuring offboarding checklists are adhered to
- Communicating with internal stakeholders on offboarding
- Record keeping and updating electronic employee files
Human Capital Operations
Assist with:
Employment Equity
- Annual collection of EEA1 forms
- Collating Employment Equity barriers from EE & SD forum members
Performance Management
- Supporting HCBP and HCO with scheduling annual training sessions
- Assisting with system-related queries
Employee Relations
- Coordination of employee wellness initiatives
- Providing updates on approved employee wellness plans
- Data collation for BEE audits
Human Capital Projects
Assist with:
- Arrangements and coordination of HC events
- Administrative support for HC projects aligned to the annual HC calendar
Internship Objective
This internship is designed to:
- Provide practical exposure to end-to-end Human Capital functions
- Develop administrative and operational HR competencies
- Build foundational experience in people management processes
- Strengthen organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
