Programme Purpose

SABS invites unemployed graduates to participate in a one-year Youth Development Programme commencing in April 2026.

The programme is structured to provide practical workplace exposure, mentorship, and hands-on learning aligned to organisational and national skills priorities.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R8,000.00 for the full 12-month duration.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • South African citizen
  • Aged between 18–35 years
  • Completed a relevant Diploma or Advanced Certificate
  • Minimum 80% academic average for completed qualification
  • No formal work experience related to the field of study
  • Currently unemployed

Failure to meet all criteria will result in disqualification.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participants in the Youth Development Programme will:

  • Participate in structured training and development initiatives
  • Gain practical workplace experience through rotational assignments
  • Assist with departmental projects, research, and administrative duties
  • Apply academic knowledge in a practical work environment
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and contribute to team objectives
  • Comply with organisational policies and professional standards
  • Submit progress reports and complete required assessments
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members
