Programme Purpose
SABS invites unemployed graduates to participate in a one-year Youth Development Programme commencing in April 2026.
The programme is structured to provide practical workplace exposure, mentorship, and hands-on learning aligned to organisational and national skills priorities.
Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R8,000.00 for the full 12-month duration.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- South African citizen
- Aged between 18–35 years
- Completed a relevant Diploma or Advanced Certificate
- Minimum 80% academic average for completed qualification
- No formal work experience related to the field of study
- Currently unemployed
Failure to meet all criteria will result in disqualification.

Duties and Responsibilities
Participants in the Youth Development Programme will:
- Participate in structured training and development initiatives
- Gain practical workplace experience through rotational assignments
- Assist with departmental projects, research, and administrative duties
- Apply academic knowledge in a practical work environment
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and contribute to team objectives
- Comply with organisational policies and professional standards
- Submit progress reports and complete required assessments
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members
