Project Coordinator – NOURISH Project

World Vision International is recruiting a Project Coordinator for the NOURISH Project in Nyasa, Tanzania. The organization has over 75 years of global humanitarian experience and operates in nearly 100 countries, focusing on improving the lives of vulnerable children and communities.
This position is responsible for coordinating project activities, managing resources, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring effective implementation of project plans according to donor and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Implementation Support
- Provide technical support for the implementation of project activities.
- Coordinate and manage project resources according to donor and organizational guidelines.
- Develop and monitor the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) annually to track project progress.
- Organize and lead project coordination meetings and stakeholder engagements.
- Build strong partnerships with community members, government officials, and project stakeholders.
2. Compliance, Reporting and Resource Stewardship
- Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure project equipment, materials, and financial resources are used according to approved policies.
- Identify project risks and advise management on appropriate mitigation measures.
- Work closely with the Project Finance Officer to support smooth project operations.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of activity plans, budgets, and reports.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual project reports and maintain documentation for stakeholders.
3. Capacity Building for Field Staff
- Provide leadership and supervision to project staff and support performance management.
- Track project performance and communicate results with project management.
- Train staff on monitoring and evaluation, project deliverables, and report writing.
- Support the preparation of high-quality narrative reports for donors and stakeholders.
4. Networking and External Engagement
- Strengthen relationships with government institutions, district authorities, and community leaders.
- Participate in district and community meetings to support project implementation.
- Maintain collaboration and trust with project partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Nutrition
- Agribusiness
- Or another related discipline.
- Master’s degree will be considered an added advantage.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience coordinating NGO projects.
- Experience managing donor-funded development programs.
- Strong understanding of social enterprise management and community development initiatives.
Skills and Competencies
