Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Administrator will support the daily operations of the school office and ensure administrative systems run efficiently to support teaching and learning activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the smooth running of the office to support both teaching and administrative staff
- Maintaining adequate supplies of office materials and stationery
- Monitoring office equipment to ensure machines are functioning properly and reporting any issues to the supervisor
- Assisting teachers with printing examination papers and academic materials
- Managing office purchasing needs and distributing stationery to staff and students
- Receiving visitors and directing them to the appropriate departments
- Preparing and sharing monthly reports on stationery usage and photocopying activities
- Updating daily attendance records for staff and students through the Admin folder, email systems, and iSAMs
- Assisting with filing student documents in accordance with approved administrative procedures
- Supporting logistics during scholarship application activities and school events
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field from a registered and accredited college within East Africa
- Previous administrative work experience, preferably in an educational institution where English is used as the medium of instruction
Required Skills
Candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks
- Strong typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute (50 WPM), which will be assessed during the recruitment process
