African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) invites students to apply for its 2026 Bursary Programme.
The bursary programme aims to attract talented and high-performing students who are committed to academic excellence and long-term professional growth. It contributes to skills development in South Africa while supporting host communities through education investment.

Bursaries are awarded to students studying at the following universities and in the listed fields:
University of Pretoria (UP)
- Accounting
- Built Environment
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Science / Informatics
- Electrical Engineering
- Geology
- Industrial Engineering
- Information Technology (IT)
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
North West University (NWU)
- Chemical and Minerals Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgy
What the Bursary Covers
The bursary provides financial support for the following expenses:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees (full duration of study)
- Textbooks
- Laptop
- University residence accommodation
- Meals
Important: The bursary does not cover outstanding university fees.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be studying at either the University of Pretoria (UP) or North West University (NWU)
- Must have completed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of study
- Must have a strong academic record
- Must not be receiving any other bursary funding
Required Documents
Applicants must submit clear certified copies of the following documents via email:
- ID document
- Matric certificate
- Full university academic record (on official letterhead)
- University acceptance letter (on official letterhead)
Submission of all required documents is compulsory. Incomplete applications may be disqualified.
